Brad Ausmus

Brad Ausmus

Regular
WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW HIM:
Among catchers who started their career since 1990 and squatted behind the plate for at least 1,000 games, Ausmus ranks fourth at holding the running game in check. Only Pudge Rodriguez, Charles Johnson, Yadier Molina, and Miguel Oliva were better. Ausmus couldn’t hit much, but he was smart and good looking enough to get a few managerial jobs after his long playing career as a defensive specialist was over.
